Since securing or refinancing a mortgage is all about numbers, you might wonder why I\u2019ve decided to start a blog. The answer is simple: All my years in the real estate industry have taught me that education is the most important commodity for clients to have.<\/p>\n

My experience began in 1998, when I managed a real estate team and transitioned into being an agent. After five years selling real estate, I found my passion was helping people with their financial decisions. It was a no-brainer to build a mortgage business on a \u201cthree-legged stool\u201d of personal integrity, trust and education\u2014and work hard to earn my place as an ongoing resource for clients, a valued member of their financial team.<\/p>\n

The importance of education became evident to me years ago, as I saw things going to hell in a handbasket due to so many negative amortizations\u2014and then the implosion occurred.<\/p>\n

My initial focus was teaching women about finances; you may recall that in the not-so-distant past, it wasn\u2019t common for a single or divorced woman to buy a home on her own. I also held first-time homeowner and VA\/military lending classes and developed an interest in working with self-employed people, who face unique qualification issues. Over the years, I built my own real estate portfolio, renovating, managing and investing, so I\u2019m able to provide firsthand knowledge to clients in those areas.<\/p>\n

What ties all of that together? Education. Thus this blog. I\u2019ll be featuring a variety of topics, everything from how to make your money work for you and is there a right time to refinance to what you should expect from a mortgage professional\u2014and more. While I have plenty of ideas, I\u2019d also love to hear from you if there are things about the mortgage process you\u2019d like to learn about.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m proud to say that I specialize in \u201cmaking it happen,\u201d and when it comes to this blog, the \u201cit\u201d is education.<\/p>\n
